There’s something really special about Winter weddings. It’s a completely different experience from when the days are long and light. Winter weddings bring log fires, fairy lights and a lovely cosy atmosphere along with gorgeous deep, jewel-toned colours which rarely make an appearance during the summer months.
Amelia & Ollie’s gorgeous wedding took place at the amazing Painswick Hotel set in the beautiful Cotswolds. Very much a boutique hotel with incredible service, it’s the perfect setting for an intimate Winter wedding. Amelia is a hairdresser and Ollie is a barber so I wouldn’t expect anything less than them being turned out perfectly.
Amelia’s stunning bespoke dress was made by Emma Beaumont and her beautiful claret velvet shoes were by Chloe. The stunning flowers for the bouquet, buttonholes, fireplace and table were by the lovely Sarah & Victoria at The Great Little Flower Company.
Amelia spent a relaxed afternoon getting ready with her two bridesmaids having professional hair and make-up done by Sam Bristow & Dan Wood respectively. Guests mingled in the bar area downstairs and finally at nearly 4pm Amelia & her Dad and bridesmaids made their way downstairs to the ceremony room. They were married in front of the stunning fireplace which was lit with candles.
After the ceremony they chose to have just a few couple portraits before moving on to photographs with friends and family. They then made their grand entrance down the main staircase to be greeted by their guests. The bar men were on standby shaking up incredible cocktails while everyone had a great time before finally sitting down to dinner in the stunningly decorated dining room at 6pm. Their fabulous cake was by The Sparkling Spatula.
There were a few short but amusing speeches by the father of the bride, the groom and the best man before dinner was served. Thank you Amelia and Ollie for letting me share part of your day with you. Here are some of my favourite images.
