Ellie & Tom’s Buckinghamshire wedding was a fun filled day of homespun gorgeousness. I can remember Ellie & Tom telling me that they wanted somewhat of a festival vibe to their wedding and they definitely achieved it. The got married at church in Winslow and then went on to their reception at Oak Tree Farm.
The wedding morning
Ellie got ready at home with her sisters. Hair was by the lovely Melissa Gaunt. It was a veritable hive of activity with six girls all getting ready together. After make-up and snacks the dresses had to be steamed before everyone could start to get ready. Ellie’s gorgeous gown was by Wed 2 Be and the bridesmaids dressed were by MixBridal. Ellie’s mum had grown all of the beautiful flowers for the bouquets and the decor in the marquee.
I drove over to St Laurence Church in Winslow to capture the guests arriving and the boys. The groom’s suit was by Boggi and the usher’s suits were by Next. There was a lot of hugging and laughing going on so I knew it was going to be a great day!
The reception took place at Oak Tree Farm who specialise in tent and marquee weddings in the beautiful Buckinghamshire countryside. The marquees by Vintage Marquees were setup next to each other with a main dining tent and a dance tent. The food trucks by Mr & Mrs Fitz were parked up ready to serve guests.
The marquee decor looked absolutely amazing decorated with pastels and bunting and the delicious wedding cakes shaped like giant fondant fancies (who doesn’t love a fondant fancy!) made by Auntie Denise. Clearly so much work had gone into making it look incredible.
On arrival there was a drinks reception while guests were entertained by magician Sylar, followed by a buffet lunch. After lunch there were speeches and then guests could help themselves at the food trucks before the Ceilidh Band started. It was a lovely relaxed atmosphere without being bound by a timetable. Thank you Ellie & Tom for inviting me to capture your day.
