I’ve known Becky & Drew for a little while already so when they asked me about photographing their wedding I felt very privileged. They had their ceremony at Bix Church followed by a reception at the stunning Notley Abbey. Becky and her close friends and family got ready in Wallingford.
Becky’s stunning gown was by Justin Alexander from Anna McDonald Bridal Gallery. It suited her petite frame beautifully with it’s gorgeous bow, slit neckline and floral details. She wore her Mum’s veil and her shoes were by Dune. The bridesmaids wore a beautiful coral colour and their dresses were by ASOS. Hair was by Maliha and make-up was by Brush Beauty Concierge. The stunning flowers featured heavily scented Lily of the Valley and Peonies and were by Sue Bailey West. I love Becky’s face when she saw her bouquet for the first time, pure excitement.
After a lovely calm morning I left the girls to go to church and meet up with Drew and his Best Men and Ushers. The suits were by Jolliffes. Excited guests started to arrive and filter into church. At half past twelve the bridesmaids Becky & Drew left church.
The reception was held at the stunning Notley Abbey, the former home of Laurence Olivier and Vivien Leigh. A former Abbey it is full of quirky details while at the same time having a lovely feel about it. The grounds make for stunning photographs and the barn where the wedding breakfast takes place has a super atmosphere. Guests were served canapés and champagne on arrival and chatted whilst we I took the newlyweds off to do some photographs.
Guests sat for dinner before the emotional and amusing speeches began and then enjoyed a relaxing evening in the garden with musical entertainment by the superb The Measures. Thank you Becky & Drew for letting me part of your amazing day.
