“Hi Alex, the photos are amazing, thanks so much, we absolutely love them. You really captured the moment. Thank you so much again, we are so happy with them!”
If you don’t know by now I adore barn weddings? So when Aimee and Pat mentioned they were having a Cripps Stone Barn wedding, I was seriously excited. Aimee and Pat are not your usual loved up couple. They are warm yet shy, with a great sense of humour and style. Aimee and her bridesmaids got ready at a quaint little cottage called The Guggle which apparently used to be an old pub. With it’s low ceilings and quirky features. it made for a lovely backdrop to the morning’s exciting preparations. Hair was done by the lovely Sandie Tozer and make-up was done by the talented Leah Toomey. Aimee’s stunning dress was Maggie Sottero. After a morning filled with laughter and emotion, I left the girls to get dressed and caught up with Pat at the barn.
It was a beautiful warm, sunny day and when I arrived at the barn, I was speechless. Pat & Aimee had tried to involve as many of their supremely talented and creative friends as possible and the result was incredible. The barn itself is a beautiful venue. With the original stone barn where the ceremony takes place to a glass, tiered orangery where the meal is held, it’s a photographer’s dream. Especially when decorated with lanters, wild flowers, candles and streamers. The amazing flowers were done by Beth Cox and the stunning naked cake was made by Aimee’s very talented mum. Add into that a wheat field and I was practially doing cartwheels. There ceremony was beautiful, and once they were married everyone pured outside into the sunshine for drinks and lawn games. The guests sat down for dinner and when it came to photographing speeches I was laughing along. All in all it was a fantastic day to be a part of. Here are some of my favourites.
