Here it is, Sarah & Simon’s beautiful Bay Tree wedding in Burford. Sarah & Simon have been together for a good while. They already have two children together so this was a beautiful way to make them complete as a family and as Sarah said, have the same surname as her children.
Their stunning wedding took place at The Bay Tree Hotel in Burford. It’s a cosy yet stylish boutique hotel, nestled in this pretty Cotswold village, in fact I wouldn’t mind having a weekend there myself! The couple chose to have a civil ceremony in the Summer House which is beautifully hidden at the back of the hotel in the pretty gardens. Sarah got ready at the hotel with hair and make-up by the lovely Julie Podbury. Her gorgeous dress was by Maggie Sottero from Proposals of Witney. The children wanted to be very involved so they were bridesmaid and best man respectively. I was so lovely to see their faces watching Mum & Dad throughout the day. The incredible flowers throughout were by Flowers by Kirsty.
They had dressed the venue absolutely beautifully and the details were a dream to photograph. They had personalised every aspect of the venue from the ceremony room, to the wedding breakfast with their pink and gold colour scheme. They had the very talented Tori Handsley to play the harp before and after their ceremony. Guests relaxed in the upper garden with canapés and champagne while we went into the lower garden to take some photographs. The children had a great time playing giant Jenga and Croquet.
Guests were called in for the wedding breakfast and after a couple of brief speeches dinner was served. Afterwards we popped out into Burford for a few more photographs. This couple had the greatest sweet buffet I have ever seen, including that fabulous gold sequin tablecloth! They also had the best photo booth I’ve ever seen called the Magic Mirror photo booth by Pink Giraffe. Their gorgeous cake was by The Pretty Cake Company. Thank you Sarah & Simon for inviting me to photograph your day, here are some of my favourite images from their Bay Tree Burford wedding.
