Suzanne & Alex’s Bodleian Library wedding seems such a long time ago already. They were married in April and had their ceremony at Convocation House before moving on to their reception at The Perch. Suzanne got ready with her family and Bridesmaids at the De Vere Oxford Thames. Hair and make-up were by the brilliant Melissa Gaunt. The beautiful flowers were by Bicycle Blooms. Suzanne’s Amazing dress was by Suzanne Neville. After a rather lovely laid back morning of getting ready, they made their way to a rainy Oxford in cars by Nostalgia Travel. I’ve never seen a bride so excited to arrive and get down the aisle. Suzanne made a very elegant descent from the car onto a rainy pavement and decided the best way to get to her groom was by picking up her dress and going for it, with so many visitors watching on.
Meanwhile the boys were at the library waiting patiently for Suzanne. Their suits were by Walters of Oxford. Guests chatted inside and the doors opened and in came Suzanne & her bridesmaids who’s dresses were by Monsoon. After a lovely service with lots of smiles the couple greeted guests and popped into the doorway for some portraits before moving inside for group shots. After the champagne and canapés guests made their way to the vintage buses also by Nostalgia Travel so get to the reception at The Perch. The outside marquee was beautifully decorated with wild flowers and vintage plates and lots of fairy lights and bunting. The cake was made by the mother of the Groom. The reception was a relaxed affair with more drinks and canapés before the guests sat for dinner. If you’ve never been to The Perch then I highly recommend a visit as the food is gorgeous!!
After dinner came the lovely speeches, special shout out to Alex, who’s speech was probably the most heartfelt of and Groom I’ve heard speak before. After the speeches guests took a walk by the river before settling into the evening entertainment by the fabulous Discowed. Thank you to Suzanne & Alex for allowing me to be a part of your special day.
