Sharon & Simon had their intimate wedding at The Dairy at Waddesdon Manor on a very cold day in February. In fact before I’d even left the house, the snow started to fall and I was keeping my fingers crossed that it just might make an appearance in their photographs. The bride got ready at The Five Arrows with hair and make-up by the wonderful Lizzie Court. Sharon wore an absolutely stunning gown by Ian Stuart (from Fairy Tale Weddings in Towcester), in fact she was the first bride of 2017 to wear this style which she beautifully accessorised with a feathered jacket. The colour was just on point and matched her skin tone perfectly. Sharon’s beautiful yet simple rose bouquet was by Jenny Tobin, as were the rest of the flowers.
I caught up with the boys down at The Dairy who were all jogging about on the spot either to calm nerves or to keep warm or both! Simon bravely greeted guests outside as they arrived through the beautiful gardens of The Dairy. Then Sharon arrived in the car with her Dad and quickly went inside so the ceremony could begin. They were married in the Orangery and they had glorious musical accompaniment by Tori Handsley on the harp. After the ceremony they bravely slipped away with me and their chauffeur drove us up to the Manor to use the grounds for photographs. Can I just give a big shout out to Regency Carriages who were absolutely brilliant in not only getting us there and back with the minimum of fuss but for also for being very helpful and genuinely lovely.
The snow fell and Simon and Sharon just looked incredible among the falling white flakes, it was almost like a fairy tale. We then headed back to The Dairy so they could enjoy their drinks reception before sitting down for dinner. Guests were entertained by Nick the Trick whilst sipping champagne and eating the gorgeous canapes. Finally Sharon & Simon hosted a receiving line to greet their guests into the dining room before the start of the wedding breakfast. Thank yopu for inviting me to be a part of your special day.
