“We are absolutely thrilled with our pictures and have loved looking through them.” Mr & Mrs Painter
If I could describe Megan & James in a phrase it would be this: “Constantly smiling and enjoying every second of their day”. It was an absolute pleasure to photograph their wedding back in December. Megan and James had their wedding ceremony at the Bodleian Library followed by a reception at The Perch.
Megan got ready with her bridesmaids at The Old Bank Hotel. Hair and make-up was by the ever fantastic Cat Fransham of Makeup for Brides. Megan’s dress was by Anna Sorrano Bridal and she wore some blue shoes she had from Zara which covered both the something old and something blue. There was lots of hugging and beautiful moments to capture as her bridesmaids arrived one by one and then her Mum and Brother.
The beautiful florals were by Daisies Flower Shop.
James’s suit was by House of Fraser and his shoes were by Ted Baker. I loved the bowtie and pocket square combination!
The ceremony was held at the stunning Bodleian Library and Megan walked to the venue with her Dad and Bridesmaids.
I can honestly say I’ve never seen a groom looking so nervous before a ceremony.
We did some couple portraits in and around the Bodleian to take advantage of the stunning architecture.
After a short drinks reception, everyone made their way to The Perch. This was my first time shooting at this venue and I loved it. The pub is so cosy and the marquee in the grounds is perfect for a reception filled with fairy lights and lanterns. Oh and the food is just incredible! The decor in the marquee is like a vintage living room, very quirky. Their wedding cheese tower was done by The Perch.
